Magnalight.com Adds High Powered LED Light with Red, Blue, Green or Amber LEDs
(Vocus) November 23, 2009 — Larson Electronics’ magnalight.com announced the addition of a 4320 lumen LED light available with a choice of colors, including red, blue, green and amber. Producing a spot beam reaching 900 feet, the LEDLB-24C LED light with colored LEDs (http://www.magnalight.com/p-46758-led-light–24-led–72-watts–4320-lumens–amber-red-blue-or-green–surface-mount.aspx) offers operators in outdoors, industrial and military applications alternatives to traditional white light LED output. The LEDLB-24C operates on 9-32 volts DC for vehicles, boats and equipment and is available with surface or magnetic mounting. Measuring 8 inches long, by 5 inches tall and 3 inches deep, the LEDLB-24C LED light is a powerful, compact LED light, drawing only 2 amps on 12 volts DC.
“The LEDLB-24C offers the same powerful LED light output in a compact frame as the white LED light version, but now we give operators the choice of amber, red, blue or green,” said Rob Bresnahan with Larson Electronics’ magnalight.com. Red led light is popular with hunters and military alike, since it is less apparent to targets at distance. Green led light tends to draw fewer bugs and more fish, so fisherman have requested green. Amber led light is ideal for smoke, fog and other airborne impediments. Blue led light tends to perform well on waterways and has some specific industrial applications as well.
Larson Electronics offers a wide variety of LED lighting, ranging from high powered surface mount LED lighting to explosion proof LED lighting (http://www.magnalight.com/c-190-explosion-proof-led-lights.aspx). Other recent additions include the Magnalight RL-85-10W rechargeable handheld LED light (http://www.magnalight.com/p-2019-led-light–10-watt–rechargeable-l-ion–pistol-style–800-lumens–800-x-75-beam.aspx) for hunting, utility companies, soldiers and construction crews looking for long battery life. Bodmin Businesses Call For Prioritisation of Road Improvement Scheme
(PRWeb UK) March 31, 2009 — It is a little known fact that you can drive all the way from Aberdeen to 6 miles north of Truro by motorway or dual carriageway. Traffic flows freely until you reach a 2½mile stretch of the A30 from Temple to Higher Carblake that runs across Bodmin Moor. This is the last stretch of single carriageway across the moor, and a well-known bottleneck.
Although originally scheduled to be replaced by dual carriageway in 2008, the scheme was suddenly dropped and a new projected date of 2019 mooted. The tenacity of local people brought the scheme back onto the agenda and finally back onto the priority list for road improvement, however a date still has to be fixed for work to start and money allocated from the regional funding budget.
Now businesses in the area, already feeling the effects of the recession, are calling for the scheme to be prioritised before visitors stream into the county this summer.
Charles Edward-Collins, Managing Director, Cornish Traditional Cottages comments, "Unsurprisingly this stretch of road causes huge tail backs in both directions at busy times of the year, which causes considerable aggravation to holidaymakers and Cornish businesses alike and also results in major congestion along the local lanes as people try to bypass the problem. Effectively this cuts Cornwall off from the rest of the UK, which helps nobody."
"A lot of the preliminary work has already been done, the scheme has been fully designed and costed and meets all they key regional criteria of connectivity, deliverability and economic viability. It could be implemented quicker than most other schemes under consideration, however it remains to be seen if the will is there to ensure Cornwall finally gets this problem solved before the inconvenience of delay hits business even harder."
